Speed and Velocity

Tips:
1- What is the main difference between the speed and velocity?
The speed is a scalar quantity, which means it is a simple number. Meanwhile, the velocity is a vector quantity, that is it is composed of a number (magnitude) and a description of the direction.
2- How do we express the direction of the velocity?
In one dimension, the direction can be expressed by words (like; right or left, etc.), by signs ( + or – ) or by a drawing ( like an arrow that indicated the direction)
3- Is the speed equal to the magnitude of the velocity?
No, this can only be the case if the particle is moving continuously in one direction.
